As part of collaboration agreement between UNESCO ICHCAP and IICAS, the publication titled “NowruzTraditions along the Silk Roads: SocioculturalSignificance of Shared Cultural Heritage” has been published. The book is devoted to Nowruz - Spring New Year - which is a widely celebrated festival and important example of shared heritage along the Silk Roads. Nowruz as multinational element was inscribed to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by following 13 State Parties to the 2003 UNESCO Convention: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Experts from 15 countries contributed papers to the publication. The book is consisting of three following chapters: (1) Eurasian Shared Cultural Heritage and Multilateral International Cooperation; (2) Commonalities and Differences in the Spring Festival to Celebrate the New Year; (3) Contemporary Significance of Spring Festival to Celebrate the New Year, and Regional Cooperation.
